Cabinet photograph, inscribed and signed ('Adelina Patti / Marquise de Caux') on the back, London, 26 June 1874 (traces of former mounting). The singer is perched on the end of a chaise-longue staring pensively into space.

The inscription has suffered from previous mounting with the name of the inscribee somewhat obscured. The signature, however, is unaffected, though rather thin.
