Autograph testimonial, signed, 1 page 8vo with integral blank leaf (small splits in the horizontal folds), Potsdam, 20 August 1849. With a full transcript and translation.
From the translation:
'As my friend Professor Gustav Rose is absent, I recommend for admission to this Geognostic Society a very excellent man, Herr Bergcommissar Zerrenner from Thuringia, who could make interesting communications on the Uralic diamonds of the petrificiations in black dolomite and on washing for gold.'
